Maraschino Liqueur
Cocktails with Maraschino Liqueur
Clear cherry-liqueur drinks — Last Word, Aviation, and Hemingway Daiquiris — not the red cocktail cherries in the garnish tray.
Maraschino liqueur is a dry, funky cherry distillate (often Luxardo), not grenadine and not the syrup from a cherry jar. These recipes taste wrong without it.

Maraschino Liqueur cocktail FAQ
Is maraschino liqueur the same as cherry juice or grenadine?
No. It is a distilled liqueur. Grenadine is pomegranate syrup; cocktail cherries are a garnish. Keep maraschino as its own pantry bottle.
What can I mix once I buy a bottle?
Last Word (with gin and green Chartreuse), Aviation (gin, lemon, crème de violette), and both Hemingway Daiquiri variants with rum, lime, and grapefruit.
