A pre-Prohibition classic (late 1800s) loved by high society as an after-dinner minty digestif. Featured in many 1920s–1930s cocktail books.

white creme de menthe 0.75 oz

Instructions

Stir cognac and creme de menthe with ice until very cold.
Strain into a chilled rocks glass over a large ice cube (or serve up in a coupe).
No garnish.
