Created in 1918 at Tujague's in New Orleans. A mint-chocolate dessert drink that became a staple of mid-century American cocktail culture.

Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass. Garnish with grated chocolate or a mint leaf (optional).
